Spicy Veg Toast
Ingredients:
4 slices of bread, 4 medium boiled potatoes, 1 cup finely chopped vegetables (onion, capsicum, tomatoes, etc.), 1 tbsp chaat masala (salt to taste), 2 tbsp finely chopped ginger, 2 tbsp chopped coriander, Oil for shallow frying
Instructions:
- Mash the boiled potatoes.
- Add the chopped vegetables, spices, and coriander to the mashed potatoes.
- Take a bread slice and cut it into the desired shape (e.g., cut one bread slice into four squares).
- Spread the mixture on both sides of the bread slices.
- Heat a non-stick pan or griddle and lightly grease it with oil.
- Cook the bread slices on both sides until golden brown, similar to pancakes, using a little oil.
- Serve with chutney.
Apple Salad
Ingredients:
6 apples, ½ cup raisins, ½ tbsp cinnamon, ¼ cup white grape juice
Instructions:
- Peel the apples and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
- Place the apple pieces in a bowl.
- Add the raisins, cinnamon, and white grape juice.
- Mix all the ingredients together.
Cheese Cutlets
Ingredients:
2 tbsp grated processed cheese, ¼ cup grated sweet corn kernels, ¼ cup grated carrot, ¼ cup grated cabbage, 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp grated garlic, ½ cup boiled, peeled, and mashed potatoes (salt to taste), ½ tbsp oil for cooking
Instructions:
- Heat butter in a broad non-stick pan.
- Add corn, carrots, cabbage, and garlic; cook on medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Remove from flame and transfer to a bowl. Allow it to cool.
- Once cooled, add mashed potatoes, cheese, and salt; mix well.
- Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape them into small round flat cutlets.
- Heat oil in a broad non-stick pan and place the cutlets.
- Cook on medium flame until the cutlets turn light brown on both sides.
- Serve with tomato ketchup.
Banana Sandwich
Ingredients:
4 slices French bread, 2 bananas, sliced into circles, 4 tbsp honey, 4 tbsp peanut butter, Butter as needed for toasting
Instructions:
- Slice the bananas into circles and drizzle honey over them. Gently toss together.
- Apply peanut butter on one side of each bread slice and spread the banana mixture over it.
- Top with the other slice of bread.
- Heat a griddle, add a little butter, and toast the sandwiches until both sides are brown and crispy.
